Azrael always thought there were only three things in the world that can be counted as 'pretty' - a good fight, winning a good fight, and drinking after a good fight; but that was before he met Rachel.

#34 - Regret
Azrael doesn't know if his heart is even big enough to know what regret is anymore.

There is no such thing as a secret in Azrael's regiment; when her time of the month comes, every single stupid man has bought her a box of chocolates to take care of her cravings.
#37 - Snakes
A snake coils around Azrael's arm, rippling when he moves, and mesmerized, Rachel can see why Eve ate that stupid apple in the first place.
#38 - Snow
In the capital, snow means a winter wonderland but here, snow just means you can't see the blood anymore.
#39 - Solid
The men only trust in Azrael because they can depend on him to be unwaveringly strong and to be a psycho at all times; there's something comforting about that.

#41 - Stable
Despite their chaotic lifestyle, there's something definite and stable about the way Azrael's regiment lives; you know that someone is getting a bruise somewhere at any point in time.
#42 - Strange
Azrael and his regiment are everything she hates, stupid, uncivilized, vulgar...but somehow, although she's become none of these (she hasn't even become athletic much to Azrael's disgust), she's become extremely fond of them.
#43 - Summer
Rachel decided that she hated summer when all the men in camp decided that it was acceptable to walk around with their shirts off and started encouraging her to do the same.
#44 - Taboo
Once, after a soldier had said something about Rachel being the only feminine woman in the camp (were there even any females in the camp?) Azrael had lazily given her a once over before reminding himself that 1. If Rath knew what he was doing, he'd laugh himself silly and 2. He would feel like a freaking pedophile, and 3. he had better things to do than consider the attractiveness of a woman...like bashing someone's head in.
#45 - Ugly
Azrael is many things, Rachel notices, such as loud, uncouth, barbaric, huge, vulgar, and violent, but despite the scars and the tattoos and the piercings, ugly he is not.

Azrael is not a part of war; he walks it, breathes it, lives it out, and really, war doesn't begin until he's in the middle of it.

#48 - Welcome
Rachel did not find being thrown who-knows-how-many feet up into the air a suitable welcome.
#49 - Winter
Winter is harsh and cold and forces people to huddle closer together but Azrael still has a three foot radius of people-free space when he goes places.
#50 - Wood
Rath had had Zane explain to her that unless one of the men asked for help, it was best not to respond to any of the men moaning in the morning as they usually had to take care of morning wood and Rachel in typical Rachel-fashion decided that she needed to go figure out just what the hell this morning...forest was.
#33 - Rain
Azrael really, really hates rain because as he's about twice the size of any other normal human being, it also means he gets twice as wet.
